Capacity Building

Capacity Building responds to recent changes in the HIV epidemic and the need to find effective solutions that improve health outcomes along the HIV care continuum for people with HIV.

BSR’s CQM Team are certified in multiple training modalities, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; Train the Trainers; and Coaching for Capacity Building.

The main objective is to build the capacity of the Ryan White Program Recipient and its subrecipients through tools, training, and technical assistance to enroll and engage people with HIV in expanded health care coverage:

    • The “Model for Improvement” (MFI)
    • PDSA Cycles – Plan Do Study Act
    • CQM Performance Report Card
    • Agency-Specific QI Data Dashboards
    • Pareto Charts
    • Root Cause Analysis Tools
        • 5 Whys
        • Fishbone Diagrams
        • Process Mapping
        • Driver Diagram
        • Affinity Diagram

Ultimately Capacity Building will contribute to meeting the goals and objectives of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy:

    • Reduce new HIV infections
    • Increase access to care and optimize health outcomes for people with HIV
    • Reduce HIV-related health disparities and health inequities
    • Achieve a more coordinated national response to the HIV epidemic
